Glydant Plus

Glydant Plus is the newest addition to the Lonza line. It is a unique and cost effective preservative that provides a high level of antimicrobial activity in a wide variety of cosmetic and personal care formulations. Glydant Plus consist of Glydant X_ L-100 and 3-iodo-2-propynyl butyl carbamate. This combination has a dual mode of action that achieve a synergistic preservative effect. This action is highly effect in inhibiting the growth og gram positive and gram negative bacteria, yeasts, and molds without the need of additional auxiliary preservative. Glydant Plus is highly effective at low concentrations and is fully compatible with anionic or nonionic surfactants and emulsifiers, as well as proteins. A variety of tests have demonstrated thst Glydsnt Plus remains stable for extended periods of time over wide pH and temperature range. Each component of Glydant Plus has fifteen years of accumulated safety data sheet . Well-documented studies demonstrate Glydant Plus to have a highly favorable toxicological profile.
